Schmidt (shoulder) said his fracture has completely healed, but he still needs to strengthen the surrounding muscles, Alex Prewitt of the Washington Post reports.Schmidt was playing in the AHL when he suffered the injury, and that may be where he'll play once he's ready for games. He does have 33 NHL appearances this season, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him back with the big club at some point.
