Schlemko was one of 13 defensemen taken by the Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft and now heads to Montreal for the 2017-18 campaign. With the Sharks last year, the blueliner notched two goals and 16 helpers in addition to blocking 112 shots. The 30-year-old's ice time dipped a little while in San Jose (16:45), but should see his minutes increase under coach Claude Julien.
