Saad tipped the puck into the net for his fourth marker of the season Saturday night in a loss against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Saad was out with an illness Friday when his team took a 2-1 loss to the Capitals, but the instinctual winger was able to log 16:41 TOI and finished plus-1 despite his team losing Saturday. There was no shortage of hype surrounding Saad leading up to the start of the regular season yet his campaign has already been riddled with dramatic highs and lows. He had three goals and one assist through the first five games of the season but then was held pointless in the following five contests before ending the drought with Saturday's goal. Saad tends to be overly passive when he has the puck, hence the fact that he's only set two shots on goal in as many games. If he can start increasing his shot attempts the scores could pile on quickly as he does have a relatively accurate snipe.
