Saad scored in the first period on Friday against the Caps -- his first goal in nine games in the Blackhawks' 3-2 loss. This is a big chance for Saad as he is being targeted by the Hawks to pick up some of the scoring slack with Patrick Sharp out of the lineup with a knee injury for the next few weeks. If he plays like he did Friday night for the rest of the season, he should easily top last season's 19 goals and 28 assists in 78 games. He has two goals and seven assists in the first 13 games so far in the 2014-15 season. Against Sunday night's opponent, San Jose, he has some success with three goals and two assists in six games.
