The move comes as no surprise, as Rozsival was either going to land on IR or long-term IR at the start of the season while he continues to recover from the fractured left ankle he suffered during the playoffs last season. He'll now be forced to miss at least 24 calendar days and 10 regular-season contests while on long-term IR. In his absence, Ville Pokka and David Rundblad will serve as the team's sixth and seventh defenseman. If healthy, Rozsival will be eligible to return to action Nov. 2 against the Kings.
