Rozsival (upper body) skated on his own before Wednesday's practice, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports. Rozsival has already been ruled out of Thursday's regular-season opener versus the Stars, but the Blackhawks will reevaluate him on Friday and see if he'll be able to give it a go against the Sabres over the weekend. David Rundblad will occupy Rozsival's spot on defense Thursday night.
