EDGE Analysis
Only those who live under a rock have yet to realize Ristolainen is quickly ascending to the league's elite at just 21 years old. He's the Sabres' leader in ice time and has three assist in his past five games, all on the power play. Finland has produced a number of elite prospects recently and Ristolainen is the cream of the crop on defense, along with Pittsburgh's Olli Maatta, and plays an all-round game, leading all Sabres defensemen in scoring and ranks second on the team with 1.5 blocked shots per game. He's a must-own across fantasy leagues for his massive upside, even though he plays for a relatively weaker team, which is reflected by his minus-8 rating, though that is still a respectable number considering how often he plays against the other team's top lines.
