Richards recorded the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Rangers. Richards found the back of the net midway through the third period, and that was all Hawks goalie Scott Darling would need to seal up the victory. Richards' production had been fading fast for about a month, but he's been much more effective since the team acquired Antoine Vermette at the trade deadline. Richards now has three points in his last four games, as his move to the third line has allowed him to feast off opponents' third pairings.
