Richards is expected to start the season as the Blackhawks' third line center, CSN Chicago reports. While it may not sound like good news at fist, the move doesn't really hurt Richards' fantasy projections. He'll still be playing alongside talented wingers in Kris Versteeg and Bryan Bickell, and should get a chance to face much softer competition than he did as a top line center last season in New York. Also, Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville has shown a tendency to use his third line as another scoring line, rather than a checking line like most coaches. If the Hawks can consistently match Richards' unit up against opponents' bottom defensive pairings, his fantasy production could benefit.
