Newhook missed Colorado's previous game due to a non-COVID-19 illness. He started Thursday's game on the second line -- part of the line adjustments to make up for Nathan MacKinnon's (nose, concussion) absence, but by the end of the game he was in a bottom-six role. Newhook's highlight for the night was when he hit the crossbar on a breakaway. With MacKinnon expected back Sunday, Newhook should move back to a third-line role.
