The Oilers recalled Tomkins on Friday to back up Calvin Pickard because Stuart Skinner was unable to play due to illness. Tomkins was 12-10-4 with a 2.55 GAA and a .907 save percentage with AHL Syracuse across 26 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. Tomkins is currently fourth on Edmonton's organizational depth chart behind Skinner, Pickard and recent trade acquisition Connor Ingram.
