It was Smith's second extended stint on injured reserve this season, as he has been limited to just six games this year in which he is 2-2-1 with a 3.76 GAA. If the veteran can stay healthy, he should at least split the workload with Mikko Koskinen moving forward and could even play his way into the full-time starter gig. The Oilers enter a back-to-back coming out of the All-Star break, so fantasy players can likely expect Smith to start either Tuesday or Wednesday versus the Knights or Blackhawks, respectively.
