Reimer was beaten five times on just 23 shots Thursday in a 6-3 home loss to Edmonton.
EDGE Analysis
Well, that was both surprising and unexpected. Reimer had looked incredible through his first four starts with San Jose, racking up a 3-1 record with a 1.26 GAA and .952 save percentage, but gave up as many goals in this game as he had in those four put together. It's surprising to see a miserable game like this from a hungry Sharks team against the cellar-dwelling Oilers, who have been terrible on the road. Reimer will likely get a chance at redemption Monday or Tuesday, when the Sharks travel to Florida for a back-to-back set versus the Lightning and Panthers, respectively.
