Reimer (groin) was on the ice and it appeared he was going to take part in practice Wednesday, but that didn't wind up being the case, Paul Hendrick of Leafs TV reports.

Reimer was on the ice with the team, but ended up just skating on his own and leaving before the practice. While it's still a step in the right direction, it's not as big as if he'd actually participated. The fact that he's not ready to face shots likely rules him out for Thursday's contest, making his next chance to return Saturday against the Kings.
