Red Wings prospect Tomas Tatar will join the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL prior to their first game. The Griffins' training camp opens Monday, but Tatar is currently playing for Piestany in his native Slovakia, but it has been confirmed he will be a member of Grand Rapids once their season begins.
