The defenseman has been an offensive force in the AHL this season, scoring twice and adding a pair of assists in only two appearances. Mailloux was recalled as the Canadiens may need a rearguard with Mike Matheson leaving Thursday's game versus Los Angeles with an upper-body injury. Should Mailloux enter the lineup, he should see power-play time on the second unit.
