Chinakhov was a healthy scratch for the season opener versus Arizona on Wednesday and will now get some ice time in the minors. The 21-year-old winger should be expected to make his NHL debut at some point this season and will likely continue to move frequently between levels as he tries to break into the Jackets' lineup.
