Raffl (lower body) has been ruled out for six weeks, Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News reports. It's believed that Raffl is dealing with a foot injury, which he likely sustained while blocking a shot during the third period Tuesday's victory over the Oilers. Raffl had solidified a spot on the Flyers' top line with a team-leading six goals before the injury, but it looks like Chris VandeVelde will receive the first shot at replacing the Austrian winger, after skating in his spot at Wednesday's practice. It's more likely, however, that Brayden Schenn, who started the season alongside Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek before being replaced by Raffl, will eventually reclaim the spot on the top line before long. Look for Raffl to make his return to the Flyers at some point in late December.
