Pyatt is expected to make the Sens Opening Night roster, Don Brennan of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pyatt has stuck on the third line next to Jean Gabriel-Pageau while Curtis Lazar recovers from mono. The 29-year-old could be shifted around when Lazar returns, but as long as he's on the roster, it can be considered a win. The 2005 fourth-round pick has spent time with Montreal and Tampa Bay during his short career, but hasn't necessarily been an offensive force with either club, registering 54 points in 245 games. Pyatt has become close with associate coach Marc Crawford for Ottawa, who is in charge of the penalty kill, as the center has proven to be useful in special teams situations. While it sounds like he'll be helpful for the little things that are important to the team's success, Pyatt is not expected to make much noise as a fantasy asset.
