PRIME VIEWS: DALLAS DOES IT AGAIN...SIGNS JAROMIR JAGR primepucks.com Tue 7/3/12 7:58 PM

The free agent frenzy continues in Dallas as the Stars sign veteran RW Jaromir Jagr to a one-year deal worth $4.55 million. Coming off a decent 54-point season, the 40-year old started strong but faded badly in the second half, due to playing through nagging injuries. It's a bit unrealistic for fantasy owners to expect much more from Jagr in Dallas, considering he will no longer be on the same line with Claude Giroux, quite possibly the best player on the planet. However, Jags should be a go-to guy with the man-advantage, making him very valuable in leagues that place a premium on power-play production. Could be a good 4th or 5th forward on your fantasy team.
