Matthews suffered a head injury during Monday's 4-3 overtime win over Carolina, forcing him to exit the game early. He was not a participant in Tuesday's skate. The 24-year-old doesn't appear to have missed a beat, looking like himself again, Masters adds. Matthews has averaged 20:36 of ice time -- 3:11 during the power play -- and recorded 12 points over his last five appearances. His next opportunity to return to action will be against Calgary on Thursday.
