Petry ended the Canadiens' deep playoff run with a finger injury after getting them caught in a camera hole during the second round. The defenseman will be counted on for a significant role with Shea Weber (ankle) not expected to play this season. Petry recorded his fourth straight 40-point campaign with 12 goals and 30 helpers in just 55 contests in 2020-21.
