Pouliot (foot) was activated from injured reserve and will play Friday against the Avalanche. He'll draw in on the Oilers' second line to replace David Perron, who was traded to the Penguins earlier in the day. Pouliot's respectable two-way play should be a welcome addition, but he won't be able to save the sinking Oilers, who are competing for the No. 1 draft pick at this point in the season. The winger had eight points and a minus-3 rating over 20 games before fracturing his foot in late November.
