Poulin is one of only a few options fighting for a chance to back up Ben Bishop in goal for the Lightning ahead of the upcoming season, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Poulin, claimed off waivers (from the Islanders) on Sunday, is the more experienced of the two twine tenders so that could give him an advantage.
