Shaw collided helment-on-helmet with Smith, knocking him down, when he went to play the puck behind the net in the second period of Game 3. Smith lay down on the ice for several moments before getting himself together, and Shaw was assessed a five-minute charging major and misconduct. "I'm upset I made contact," Shaw said. "I tried getting out of the way. At the last second his head came out and I turned my shoulder away but had nowhere to go."
