Chinakhov has only seven goals and 12 points through his first 48 NHL games but has shown flashes of his upside this season, and with both Patrik Laine (knee) and Jakub Voracek (lower body) suffering injuries late in Friday's win, the rookie could find himself in a much more prominent role as soon as Sunday's clash with the Golden Knights.
