Poulin has not been able to crack the Pittsburgh lineup for any appreciable time since being the No. 21 overall pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. The 24-year-old has played only 13 NHL regular-season games across the past three campaigns, generating only two assists. He will play for AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton if he passes through waivers.
