Pietrangelo picked up an assist Sunday in a 4-2 loss to Chicago. He took one shot and added two hits with three blocks in the contest. This was Pietrangelo's first point in four games and first since teammate Kevin Shattenkirk when down with an abdominal injury. Pietrangelo needs to step up in Shattenkrik's absence and perhaps his performance Sunday is a sign that he is ready to do so.
