Pavel Datsyuk has already started his off-season workouts. "Earlier than normal," GM Ken Holland said. "We wanted to see how he felt before he headed back (to Russia). He's pushing it pretty hard." He hasn't been experiencing any problems with his knee and it doesn't look like he'll need surgery, which is very good news. Datsyuk led the Wings in playoff scoring with three goals and five points in five games. He was limited to 45 games during the regular season, where he picked up 17 markers and 20 assists.
