Paul Stastny seems resigned to the idea that restricted free agent Ryan O'Reilly will be traded.
"We've heard things, but it's out of our control," Stastny said. "Obviously, it's (on) your mind. We've played with him for three years. He's a big part of this team. But when it comes to the business side of hockey, sometimes things like this happen. It sours a relationship, ruins a relationship. Whether that has happened or not, who knows? But as a good buddy, you hope for his success, and you hope you get something in return, someone who can make an immediate impact." Colorado is seeking a roster player and a top prospect in exchange for O'Reilly, but getting that might be difficult given O'Reilly's financial demands and the fact that he's only had one great season.
