Paul Gaustad left Wednesday's contest against Chicago with an upper-body injury after he was hit into the boards from behind by Jamal Mayers in the second period. Mayers was given a two-minute penalty for boarding on the play and Gaustad did not return to the contest, making his status for Thursday's match-up in Winnipeg questionable.
