McCabe (neck) took part in a full practice Friday, according to Tracey Myers of NHL.com.

It was the first time McCabe was allowed to practice with full contact. While he will travel with the Blackhawks on their three-game road trip to start the season, according to coach Luke Richardson, he will be ready to go when the Blackhawks return for their home opener on Oct. 21.
