After consulting with his wife following the death of his father, J.P., on Thursday, Parise decided it was best for him to rejoin the team Friday in an attempt to regain a sense of normalcy. The Wild plan to stick with the top-line trio they used during his two-game absence (Jason Zucker, Mikko Koivu, and Jason Pominville), so Parise will find himself next to new mates in Erik Haula and Thomas Vanek on the second line in his return. Despite the turmoil in his personal life, Parise has delivered his usual excellence for the Wild this season, tallying 14 goals and 16 assists over 32 games.
