Parenteau, who started Saturday night's game on the third line, was promoted to the second line with left wing Alex Galchenyuk and center Tomas Plekanec for the third period. He had an assist on Plekanec's goal and now has three helpers in his first three games with the new team. The second line had a hand in two of Montreal's three goals and keyed a third consecutive game of last-game heroics for the 3-0 Canadiens. The Plekanec line has been Montreal's most prolific thus far, so at this time, it's a good landing spot for Parenteau.
