Parenteau was dropped to the third line for Friday night's game against Chicago. He skated 10:34 with four shots on net in a 4-3 loss. Parenteau's spent time up and down the lines through the first third of the season, as head coach Michel Therrien continues to shuffle forwards on team that's among the lower third in terms of scoring per game. He remains on one of Montreal's power-play units, however, that's another area in which the team ranks in the lower third of the NHL.
