Parenteau notched his 15th goal (and 30th point) of the year to open the scoring in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Despite a young Parenteau showing clear signs of offensive talent with the Rangers, they gave up him after just 22 NHL games the year before he busted out across town with the Isles. Since then, he's tormented the Blueshirts, having racked up 17 points in 18 career games against them. This isn't a one-off, though -- Parenteau's been terrifically productive over the last eight games, notching seven points and 20 PIM as one of the Leafs' most relied-upon forwards. However, with the 32-year-old on a one-year deal and Toronto on a one-way trip to nowheresville this season, he seems likely to be traded by the Feb. 29 deadline; depending on where he ends up, Parenteau could see a spike in fantasy value accordingly.
