Panthers players are doing their best to fill up their down time during the lockout. Many have been working out/skating together and have used the extra time off to spend time with their family, and on Wednesday went with their kids trick-or-treating for Halloween. Still, though, while many remain hopeful there will be a season, in the end they all acknowledge this lost time isn't good for the product. "I enjoy the family time,'' defenseman Mike Weaver said. "But the NHL needs to realize how much this is hurting the game and the bad taste it's leaving in people's mouths. Out of sight, out of mind.''
