P. A. Parenteau reportedly doesn't want to engage in any further contract negotiations until the 2011-12 season is over. Parenteau is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. The Islanders now have to decide if they want to trade away Parenteau or hold onto him in the hopes that they can eventually work something out. Parenteau has 58 points in 62 games, so it goes without saying that the Islanders could get some very strong offers for him.
