Ruhwedel (COVID-19) was cleared of the league's protocols and resumed skating Tuesday, Mike DeFabo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Ruhwedel missed the team's last three games after testing positive for COVID-19 but appears to be trending in the right direction. Even if the San Diego native does get back into the lineup against the Panthers on Thursday, he shouldn't be expected to have a heavy fantasy impact considering he is pointless to start the year and has reached the 10-point threshold just once in his 10-year NHL career.
