Ottawa GM Bryan Murray said he had a potential deal with the Nashville Predators, but it was squashed because Jason Spezza refused to go there. This shouldn't have come as a surprise to Murray because the Predators were reported to be on Spezza's no-trade list. Murray and Predators GM David Poile didn't sound pleased with the center's decision, but now both sides have move on. "We'll continue to talk and, over the course of time, I'm sure people that miss out on July 1 may come knocking, but we'll have to wait and see," said Murray. The Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues are still believed to be interested in acquiring Spezza.
