Bailey only managed eight goals in 54 games last season, so perhaps this drop-off should not be all that surprising. The Islanders left Bailey off their protection list when it came time for the Kraken to pick in the expansion list. The Islanders were hoping the Kraken would take either Jordan Eberle or Bailey to relieve themselves of some cap room. The Kraken chose Bailey but right about now, the Isles may wish they had him back as Bailey has regressed and really isn't a top-six forward at this point in his career.
