Ondrej Pavelec's contract expired with Liberec on Nov. 4. In the translated interview he said, "I had a contract to Nov. 4, and now that I saw that the NHL season could be saved, I think I'll probably go back to Canada." If Pavelec returns to Winnipeg then he can have a face-to-face meeting Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff, which he hasn't done since he was convicted of drunk-driving in the Czech Republic during the off-season. Pavelec can also work out with his teammates whole waiting to see if the NHL starts up or if he should get another playing job overseas should the lockout continue.
