Guentzel (not injury related) is on track to make his season debut Thursday versus Florida, Matt Vensel of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Guentzel returned to practice Monday after being sidelined for a week due to the NHL's COVID-19 protocols, but he wasn't able to take the ice for Tuesday's season opener versus Tampa Bay. However, after a few days of practice, the 27-year-old American looks to be on track to slot into his usual spots on the Penguins' top line and first power-play unit versus the Panthers. Guentzel racked up 23 goals and 57 points through 56 games last campaign.
