Okposo will miss Tuesday's game against Philadelphia and likely Friday and Saturday's games as well. He hurt his ribs after crashing into the boards against Arizona, putting the brakes on his two-game, multi-point streak. He's having a good season with 43 points in 63 games in his first season with Buffalo, and led the team in scoring for much of the season until Ryan O'Reilly recently surpassed him. His absence is a big blow to the Sabres offense, although they've gotten some enormous contributions from Jack Eichel recently. Okposo's spot on the top line has been taken by Brian Gionta, who will stay there for the foreseeable future.
