Okposo (eye) could return for Tuesday's matchup versus the Rangers, according to Newsday. Okposo will need to be cleared by the medical staff before the team will make their final determination if he should return to the lineup. Keep in mind that the Islanders are known for being conservative with their injuries and prefer to wait an extra game or two rather than risk re-injury. A win Tuesday versus the Rangers would certainly help the Isles in their quest to win the division but in the long run it may be more beneficial to keep him out a few more days.
