Hanley has been a frequent healthy scratch, and he's done little to earn more playing time when he's in the lineup. The 30-year-old defenseman has no points, six hits, six blocked shots and a minus-3 rating in six games this year. He'll occasionally enter the lineup to give Andrej Sekera rest, but Hanley is likely just a placeholder for top prospect Thomas Harley.
