Benoit has seen semi-regular playing time in competition with Josh Mahura for a spot on the third pairing alongside Kevin Shattenkirk. While the offense hasn't been there, Benoit has supplied 42 hits and a plus-1 rating this season. The 23-year-old blueliner shouldn't be expected to pick up the pace any time soon -- he's essentially a like-for-like replacement of Jani Hakanpaa, who the Ducks traded away last season.
