Niklas Backstrom was unable to make his scheduled start against the Red Wings Sunday after he came down with an illness. The flu has apparently been making its way through the Wild locker room with Backstrom looking like the latest victim. Darcy Kuemper filled in admirably and would likely get any starts Backstrom can't make for the foreseeable future.
