Niklas Backstrom turned aside eight of nine shots in Minnesota's 5-4 loss to Colorado Thursday night. Backstrom replaced Darcy Kuemper in the second period after Kuemper allowed four goals on 23 shots. Backstrom saw his record fall down to 5-11-2. The Wild will play their next game on Saturday against Calgary so it will interesting to see which goalie will start for the Wild.
