Niklas Backstrom is likely to start for Minnesota Thursday night versus Buffalo. Josh Harding isn't feeling well so Backstrom, who hasn't won a game since Nov. 23 and has a 2-9-2 record on the year, will try to end Minnesota's six-game losing streak.
